Campground Rules & Policies at Vanderburgh 4‑H

Welcome to our facility. This is private property. To ensure you and our other guests have a pleasant stay, we ask all campers to comply with the following rules.

If the site you select has been reserved, you will have to move. The Vanderburgh 4-H Center reserves the right to reassign site numbers, at the discretion of the Office; including prior reservations.

Reservations may be made three weeks in advance of your visit. Maximum length of stay is limited to three months unless prior authorization is received by the Vanderburgh 4-H Center.

1 camper per site, 6 people per camper unless cleared by the Vanderburgh 4-H Center Office. Individuals must be a minimum in age of 18 years to make reservations &/or be campground site holder/agreement signer. 2 vehicles per campsite. Check out time is 2:00 p.m.

Vehicles must be parked in Campsite spaces. DO NOT block adjacent sites or roadways. No working on vehicles on your camp site or on 4-H property. No unlicensed vehicles or vehicles that are not used (no storing of vehicles, unless cleared by the office).

No sewage or gray water from tents, campers, or recreational vehicles shall be disposed of on the premises of the facility except at the sewage disposal site. A sewer hose or an airtight seal must be used during sewer or gray water disposal. Dump station is located near shower house.

Quiet time BEGINS at 11:00 PM thru 7:00 AM. NO visitors after 11:00 PM (local time). Generators must be SHUT OFF at 11:00 PM.

Camping is restricted to the designated area ONLY unless prior authorization is received by 4-H Center Management.

All camping sites are either pull thru or back in sites, no exceptions.

Campers must keep their sites clean and outdoor clutter to a minimum.

Outdoor freezers, refrigerators, or freestanding items are NOT permitted.

All pets must be kept on a leash at all times when outside. Pets other than dogs/cats must be cleared with 4-H Center Office and are otherwise NOT permitted.

Pets cannot be outside on leash at your campsite. All pets must have current inoculations for rabies as prescribed by the Camper’s state of residence. No pets in any public buildings. YOU MUST CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR PETS!

No horses, rollerblades, roller-skates, or skateboards are allowed in the campground or any other areas on the grounds.

ATV’s, XUV’s, RTV’s, golf carts, or any other non-licensed vehicles are NOT allowed in the campground or any other areas of the grounds. All scooters or mopeds must be currently licensed and be registered by the current camper(s).

No hunting, scouting, or trapping.

Alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, firearms, and fireworks are NOT permitted on the facility without permits and authorization. Any violations will be enforced by local law enforcement.

There shall NOT be any building/storage areas placed or built on the Campground premises. Any vehicle, motorcycle, etc. around your camp site shall be secured to avoid any type of danger to employees or other park visitors.

Call 9-1-1 to report accidents, disturbances or theft immediately and make report to the 4-H Center Office.

The 4-H Center has the right to refuse camping privileges at their discretion. Abusive language, threats or physical violence is means for immediate eviction and permanent expulsion from campgrounds.

Eviction will result in the burden of legal fees for form signer.
